The small island of Grinda in Sweden was a pleasant surprise during a summer citytrip to Stockholm. When thinking about Sweden’s capital, small islands are maybe not the first thing that come to mind, however a daytrip by boat to the Stockholm Archipelago offers a great opportunity to enjoy nature, stunning views from the boat and…relaxation. Oh, and don’t forget to bring swimwear.
The boat takes you from Kungsträdgården in Stockholm to Southern Grinda in less than three hours. Other than soaking up the sun and swimming, this little island is also great if you want to go for a walk amongst pastures and trees. Find out more about Grinda and Stockholm in the article My Swedish Summer
This was the third and last part of the Holiday on an Island series. Part one focuses on Goree island in Senegal (West Africa), part two discusses a mysterious Icelandic peninsula. I hope you got some travel inspo from the articles.
See you next month!
